Members of the Save Bangsamoro Movement staged a protest outside the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday, June 22, calling for the immediate resolution of pending cases which they said could significantly affect the future of democratic governance, the Bangsamoro peace process, and the implementation of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB).

According to a report by RH Tina Nolasco on DZRH's Damdaming Bayan, the group said the petitions involve issues related to the Bangsamoro Electoral Code and redistricting, raising concerns that the scheduled Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) elections in September could face another delay.

According to the protesters, it is time for residents of the Bangsamoro region to elect their leaders through a clean, peaceful, and orderly electoral process.

The Save Bangsamoro Movement also criticized the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA), accusing it of allegedly neglecting several important issues. The group called for accountability among officials whom they claimed have failed to fulfill their responsibilities.

The protesters likewise urged the strict implementation of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro, stressing the need to preserve the integrity of the peace process in the region.

In addition, the group called for the removal of certain officials linked to various controversies and demanded that individuals found violating the peace agreement be held accountable.
