South Korean 2NE1 singer Sandara Park offered prayers for the safety of Mindanaoan locals following a devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake that hit the island’s southern region on Monday morning.
“My heart is with everyone affected by the earthquake in Mindanao. Mindanao holds a special place in my heart, and I still remember the love and warmth I received there. I’m praying for everyone’s safety, strength, and recovery,” she said on X on the night of the earthquake.

Filipino netizens thanked the K-pop singer, some assuring that they are safe.
As of Tuesday morning, 37 have been reported dead, four missing, and at least 456 individuals injured due to the effects of the powerful quake, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
