South Korean singer Sandara Park has denied allegations from her fellow 2NE1 member Park Bom that she used illegal drugs.

In an Instagram Story, Park stressed that she has never used drugs and directly rejected the accusation, while also saying she wishes Bom well.

“I have never used drugs. I wish her well,” Park wrote in a post published in both Korean and English.

The issue surfaced after Bom posted a handwritten confession on social media claiming that the drug controversy previously linked to her was used to cover up alleged drug use by Park.

In the now-deleted Instagram post, Bom said she was unfairly labeled a drug addict to divert public attention away from her bandmate.

She maintained that she is not a drug addict and explained that the medication she takes is prescribed for her attention deficit disorder. In the same letter, she alleged that Park had a history of drug use.

According to a report by The Korea Herald, a person close to Bom said the post may have been made while the singer was in an “unstable condition” related to her health.

Bom was previously involved in a controversy in 2010 over the importation of the prescription drug Adderall, but she later presented documents showing the medication was prescribed to treat her Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Following the recent allegation, several Filipino fans came to Park’s defense online. The singer, who gained popularity in the Philippines during her early career, is affectionately referred to by local supporters as the country’s “Pambansang Krung-Krung.”

Bom has reportedly been on a break from group activities since last year. The group last performed in the Philippines in 2024.
