The San Manuel Police Station destroyed 63 noisy motorcycle mufflers confiscated from January to December 2025 by pounding them with a sledgehammer on December 9, 2025, in front of the police station.
Acting San Manuel Police Chief PMAJ Tristan Jorge P. David said the move is part of their strict enforcement against illegal noisy motorcycle mufflers, noting that some riders continue to violate the ban despite repeated warnings. “We confiscate and destroy these items to show the public that our anti-noisy exhaust campaign is real and serious,” David said.
The police chief added that future offenders will be endorsed to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for appropriate penalties, reinforcing the municipality’s commitment to reducing noise pollution and maintaining peace and order.
