The San Beda Red Lions imposed their will early and never looked back, routing the Mapua Cardinals, 63-48, in Game 3 of the Asiabasket NSAC 2026 College Basketball Campus Tour on Saturday at the RC Gym.

San Beda came out firing at its home court, unloading a dominant 24-10 opening quarter to set the tone. The Red Lions tightened their grip in the second period, stretching the lead to 35-16 at halftime behind disciplined defense and efficient execution on both ends.

Mapua struggled to find rhythm throughout the contest, managing just 29 points through three quarters as San Beda’s defensive pressure forced tough shots and limited second-chance opportunities.

The Cardinals showed brief signs of life in the fourth, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome as the Red Lions cruised to the 15-point victory.

Newcomer Randaile Medroso made an immediate impact in his debut for San Beda, earning Player of the Game honors. The big man anchored the paint with a game-high eight rebounds to go along with five points and a steal, providing the interior presence that helped stifle Mapua’s offense.

With the win, San Beda showcased its depth and defensive identity, while Mapua will look to regroup after a tough outing in the campus tour matchup.

The reigning NCAA champions, San Beda Red Lions, are set to clash with UAAP Season 88 champions, De La Salle Green Archers, on Sunday, April 12 at the RC Gym.

Meanwhile, the Mapua Cardinals will await the UAAP titlists for their showdown scheduled on Sunday, April 19 at the Blue Eagle Gym.
