Sam Smith has latched onto Christian Cowan!

The British Grammy Award-winning musician revealed their engagement to the fashion designer in a July 2026 interview with The New York Times.

Sam shared that he first began working on “Everlasting Love,” the opening track of the upcoming “Hazel Eyes” album, the night before their first date with Christian. Further along the relationship, he finished the track.

This track marks the first time Sam has written about “requited love,” he shared, a celebration of a queer relationship.

The couple sparked dating rumors after being spotted together in December of 2022.

In May this year, the two were reportedly overheard talking about their engagement at the Mark Hotel before attending the Met Gala 2026 together.

“Hazel Eyes” will be released on Spotify on August 21.
