The Philippine National Police Forensic Group (PNP-FG) on Monday stood by the integrity of the evidence collected in connection with the Senate shooting incident, asserting these are based on scientific findings on May 13.
According to PNP-FG Director PCol. Pierre Paul Carpio, the examinations completed have scientific grounds, reported RH 52 Edniel Parrosa.
This comes after Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano questioned the purportedly false information being given to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who called the Senate shooting “fake” during his state visit to Japan.
The PNP-FG conducted ballistic examinations, firearm identification and cross-matching, bullet trajectory analysis, gunpowder residue testing, firearm serviceability examinations, and paraffin tests.
The results have been turned over to the CIDG for referral to the Department of Justice.
