Malacañang has dismissed circulating rumors of a new Cabinet shake-up under President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
In a press conference on Monday, April 27, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro clarified that no official information supports claims of a Cabinet revamp, including reports suggesting she may be among those to be replaced. “Unang-una, I will always serve at the pleasure of the President, ’yan naman po ang katotohanan,” Castro said when asked about the possibility of her removal from her post. Castro also took the opportunity to call out what she described as purveyors of false information, issuing a pointed remark directed at those spreading unverified reports. “Pero po sa mga fake news peddlers, abangan ang susunod na kabanata,” she said. She reiterated that, as of now, there are no plans for a reshuffle, “Sa ngayon, wala po.”
