For more than seventy years, Rosal was at the forefront of the country’s humanitarian efforts. She played a key role in promoting voluntary blood donation, expanding welfare programs, and supporting initiatives that protected vulnerable communities across the nation. PRC Chairman Dick Gordon praised Rosal for her extraordinary commitment, saying her advocacy fostered a culture of generosity and compassion that touched many lives.

Beyond her humanitarian work, Rosal was a prominent figure in Philippine cinema. She appeared in classic films such as Anak Dalita (1956), Badjao (1957), Biyaya ng Lupa (1959), and Sonny Boy (1955), earning a FAMAS Best Actress award for her performance in Sonny Boy.

Her contributions to society were recognized with some of the nation’s highest honors, including the Ramon Magsaysay Award and the Order of the Golden Heart (Grand Cross), awarded for her outstanding dedication to public service. She was a member of the PRC Board of Governors since 1965, shaping the organization’s programs for decades.
