Former Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque disputed rumors of his arrest on Tuesday, announcing he is bound for Vienna, Austria.
“There is no truth to the rumors that I have been arrested. I have a scheduled flight to Vienna, Austria today, November 25,” the lawyer said in a Facebook post.
This comes in response to rumors that authorities have seized Roque in the Netherlands.
According to Sunday reports, a Red Notice against him has already been requested from the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). On Monday, the Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) granted the cancellation of his passport.
As of writing, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) said that, despite the issuance of a Red Notice, confirmation of his arrest has not been given.
This is a developing story.
