Robyn Brown bagged a gold medal in the 2023 Asian Athletics Championship in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 28-year old Filipina-American record-holder ruled the women's 400-meter hurdles event on Saturday, July 15, after clocking in 57.50 seconds.
Eri Utsunomiya of Japan grabbed the silver medal after registering a time of 57.73 seconds, while her compatriott Ami Yamamoto finished with a time of 57.80 seconds to place third.
Brown set the national record for the said event after registering a time of 56.44 seconds in the 2023 Southeast Asian Game in Cambodia, where she won a silver medal.

Brown became the first Filipina to bag a gold medal in the Asian Athletics Championship since Marestella Torrres-Sunang ruled the women's long jump in 2009.
