Actor Rob Sy has denied allegations linking him and his partner to a bullying incident, calling on the public to refrain from making premature judgments as legal proceedings unfold.
In an official statement, Sy said he has received mixed reactions after being publicly named in a complaint, with some expressing support while others criticized him based on circulating images portraying him negatively.
He maintained his innocence, asserting that he and his family are peaceful and not responsible for the accusations. “Sa likod ng camera, ako ay isang mapayapang tao at walang kasalanan sa mga ibinibintang sa amin,” he said.
Sy added that witnesses and documents exist to establish the truth behind the alleged bullying incident that reportedly occurred in February 2026, stressing that details will be revealed “at the right time, place, and forum.”
The statement comes amid a complaint filed by actor-turned-politician Alfred Vargas and his wife against the parents of their son’s alleged bully. The case has drawn public attention after details of the incident surfaced online, sparking debate and scrutiny on social media.
Sy also appealed to netizens to avoid spreading unverified claims and unauthorized images, especially those involving minors, warning that such actions may violate the law. He cited legal guidance from DJ Jimenez, also known as “The Pinoy Street Lawyer,” who is assisting them in the case.
Authorities have yet to release a final determination, as both sides prepare to present evidence. Sy reiterated his request for understanding, emphasizing the need to let the legal process take its course before conclusions are made.
