Rina Andrea Delos Santos of Ballesteros, Cagayan was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026 after besting 31 other candidates during the coronation night held at the Malitbog Cultural Center in Malitbog, Bukidnon on Saturday, June 27.
Delos Santos secured the title following her winning answer in the final question-and-answer portion, where she was asked how she would honor the responsibility that comes with wearing the crown. Drawing from her experience as a community tour guide, she said she is prepared to take on the environmental and global responsibility of the title by promoting sustainability and positioning the Philippines as a model of environmental stewardship and a destination of natural beauty.
She ended her response by saying, "Love changes nothing unless it moves, and when it moves, it truly changes everything," a statement that resonated with the judges and earned her the national crown.
Instead of outgoing Miss Philippines Earth 2025 Joy Barcoma, reigning Miss Earth Natalie Puskinova of the Czech Republic crowned Delos Santos. Carousel Productions, organizer of the Miss Philippines Earth and Miss Earth pageants, did not issue a statement explaining Barcoma's absence during the coronation.
Also crowned during the pageant were Prima Joy Alamban of Tumauini, Isabela as Miss Philippines-Air, Alyssa Mildred Villariña of Mandaluyong City as Miss Philippines-Water, Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug of Agoo, La Union as Miss Philippines-Fire, and Roveelaine Eve Castillo of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte as Miss Philippines-Ecotourism.
Delos Santos will represent the Philippines in the Miss Earth 2026 pageant later this year while leading environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives as the country's new environmental ambassador.
