The personal assistant and driver of actress Rhian Ramos, identified only by the alias “Totoy,” has expressed fear for his safety after filing complaints of illegal detention and torture against his employer and Ramos’ friends, Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio.
In a report by RH Jecelle Ricafort on DZRH's Magandang Umaga Pilipinas (MUP), according to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the complainant has not reported receiving any direct threats to his life.
However, Totoy said he fears for his security, citing that he is up against several influential individuals.
Totoy returned to the NBI on Tuesday to clarify certain matters raised by investigators. He has also undergone a medico-legal examination and submitted medical records to the bureau.
The NBI said it is still awaiting the results of the medical evaluation to determine whether the causes of the bruises presented by the complainant are consistent with his allegations.
Based on the NBI’s initial discussions with Totoy, authorities said there was no indication that the women he accused attempted to approach or confront him.
Earlier, the camps of Ramos and Dee strongly denied the allegations. They suggested that Totoy may have filed the complaints in retaliation for a qualified theft case previously lodged against him, which allegedly involves the theft of an angpao containing sensitive photographs.
