Rhian Ramos and Michelle Dee’s mothers came to their defense amid public backlash on the two celebrities after the former’s driver filed a complaint against them, claiming he had been tortured.
In a statement on Monday, February 2, Rhian’s mother, Clara Ramos, expressed frustration with the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption’s (VACC) support for her daughter’s driver and personal assistant, alias “Totoy,” whom she described as a “lying thief.”
“Nagpa-interview pa left and right, dishing out unverified information. It has helped fuel this social media frenzy, leaving the ones stolen from and betrayed to be victimized even more by depraved imaginations with stories morphing like cancer,” Clara stated.
According to Clara, she is watching the internet tear her daughter apart for actions that Rhian did not do, adding that the latter does not deserve such treatment.
“Sure, through the years we know bashers will bash, but this? This is brutal, and whoever’s running this show is sick!” she said.
Meanwhile, Michelle’s mother and former beauty queen, Melanie, blasted Totoy’s “maligned acts,” stating, “Ang sinungaling ay kapatid ng magnanakaw!”
Melanie stressed that it is exactly the definition of Rhian’s driver, as he intends to blackmail for money and conspiracy.
“Their main purpose is their greediness mentality to blackmail our celebrities for money is so [ridiculous]! Mukhang nasangkot ang driver sa conspiracy sa mga araw na pinalaya na ito sa prisinto…ito ay isang malinaw na posibilidad!” she wrote.
“This evil plot is a criminal offense to stain the image and reputation of our celebrities,” she ended, writing, “must put in jail.”
In a separate post on Tuesday, February 3, Melanie reminded followers not to judge her daughter.
Last week, Totoy lodged a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation, together with the VACC, claiming that Ramos, Dee, and Samantha Panlilio tortured and physically assaulted him for three days.
Ramos and Dee’s camp recently announced that they are studying filing libel and perjury cases against Totoy.
