A dog rescued from the tracks of MRT-3 has finally returned to its family, weeks after being saved by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

The reunion was confirmed through a post by Biyaya Animal Care, the organization that helped ensure the pet’s well-being.

The dog, reported missing on New Year’s Eve, was located by PCG personnel at Guadalupe Station on January 22, 2026, after causing a temporary disruption to MRT-3 operations. Authorities quickly secured the furbaby and ensured its safety.

Family members from South Cembo, Taguig City, reached out to Biyaya Animal Care to coordinate the reunion.

“We never stopped searching for our furbaby,” said a relative of the owner, expressing relief and gratitude for the rescue efforts.

Biyaya Animal Care praised the cooperation between the MRT-3 staff and the PCG, which allowed for the safe rescue and care of the dog. The organization also emphasized the importance of community support in reuniting lost pets with their families.

The MRT-3 management extended its gratitude to all parties involved, noting that the collaboration highlights the city’s commitment to animal welfare and swift response during emergencies. The dog is now safely back with its owners, bringing relief and joy to the family.
