Marking a decade since the beloved drama Reply 1988 first aired, the cast returned to Ssangmun-dong to relive cherished memories and celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary.
On December 11, Channel Fullmoon and tvN Joy released a six-minute teaser showing the core cast coming together for a two-day reunion, where they were “transported” straight back to 1988.
Fans were treated to nostalgic moments as the actors donned the vintage outfits that made their characters unforgettable. They laughed, chatted, and shared meals just like the fictional neighbors they once portrayed—complete with the series’ trademark goat sounds popping up during playful teasing or awkward moments.
The reunion also featured fun games, with cast members grouped according to their drama families: the Sung Family, Choi Family, Kim Family, Ryu Family, and Sun-woo Family.
Reply 1988, the third installment of the hit “Reply’ anthology series, captures the charm of 1980s Seoul through slice-of-life storytelling, blending heartwarming family drama, coming-of-age moments, comedy, and romance. The series resonates deeply with fans thanks to its timeless portrayal of friendship, family bonds, and growing up.
The special 10th-anniversary episode is set to premiere on December 19 at 8:40 p.m. KST (7:40 p.m. Philippine time), giving fans a perfect reason to revisit the nostalgic streets of Ssangmun-dong.
