Rep. Barzaga surrenders over 8 counts of cyberlibel following arrest warrant

Cavite 4th District Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga voluntarily surrendered on Monday night, April 13, at the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station in connection with eight counts of cyberlibel.
His surrender came hours after the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 147 issued a warrant of arrest against him.
Court records showed that Barzaga was charged with eight separate counts of cyberlibel, with bail set at ₱48,000 per count, totaling ₱384,000.
The warrant was issued by Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 147 following the filing of the cases.
After posting bail, Barzaga was released at around 10:25 p.m. the same night, authorities confirmed.
