Commuters and pedestrians can now use the renovated EDSA Busway Guadalupe Station, which officially reopened at 5:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced.
In an advisory, the DOTr said the improved station is designed to provide a more convenient and comfortable commuting experience, in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to improve public transportation services.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said the station now features a wider passenger platform, additional seating areas, tactile paving for visually impaired commuters, LED information screens, and a larger covered waiting area.
The improvements are intended to provide passengers with more space and better facilities while waiting for buses, as well as improve accessibility for commuters with disabilities.
Dizon also earlier assured the public that the repair and improvement of the station's elevators would be expedited to make the facility more accessible to passengers.
The DOTr encouraged commuters and pedestrians to use the improved facilities as the station resumes operations.
