The organizers of the inaugural Reina Filipinas 2026 pageant have postponed the official presentation of its candidates as a precaution against the anticipated landfall of a super typhoon.

In an announcement posted on the organization's official Facebook page, the "Grand Reveal: Welcome All the Reinas & Sashing Ceremony," originally scheduled for July 8, has been moved to July 13, 2026, citing the safety of all participants and attendees as the primary consideration.

“Safety comes first. In light of the anticipated landfall of a super typhoon and with the safety of our candidates, guests, partners, and everyone involved as our top priority, The Grand Reveal: Welcome All the Reinas & Sashing Ceremony originally scheduled for July 8 has been rescheduled to July 13, 2026,” the organization said.

The pageant organizers assured supporters that preparations for the competition remain underway and expressed excitement to formally introduce the pioneering batch of Reina Filipinas candidates on the new date.

“We look forward to welcoming you as we officially introduce the inaugural Reina Filipinas 2026 candidates on our new date. See you on July 13. Together, let’s witness the beginning of something GRAND,” the statement added.

Reina Filipinas is set to hold its first-ever edition this year, with the upcoming Grand Reveal serving as the official introduction and sashing ceremony for its inaugural roster of candidates. The schedule adjustment comes as several organizations continue to monitor weather conditions and implement precautionary measures ahead of the expected impact of the approaching super typhoon.
