

A red rainfall warning was raised over Metro Manila and six other areas in Luzon on Wednesday, August 19, due to rains brought by the southwest monsoon or Habagat, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 8 a.m. rainfall warning, PAGASA said continuous heavy rains were affecting areas under the red warning level, where severe flooding was expected.
