Randy “Adam” Lawyer, the husband of former beauty queen Melanie Marquez, issued a statement denying allegations of abuse that were raised during Marquez’s recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

Lawyer’s response was released through a formal statement presented on the same program, directly addressing the claims made by the former beauty queen. The statement read, “Our client, Mr. Adam Lawyer, categorically denies with the strongest terms the allegations thrown against him. Ms. Melanie has always been engaged in ostentatiously accusing Mr. Lawyer of abuse, but all of which were found to be baseless or unfounded by the proper forum. This is nothing but an act of harassment suffered by our client; an act of defamation on the part of Ms. Melanie.”

According to Lawyer’s camp, Marquez has repeatedly made accusations of abuse against him throughout their 25-year marriage. However, his legal team stressed that these claims have consistently been dismissed by authorities.

Lawyer’s lawyers further stated that previous complaints filed by Marquez did not progress to court, as the cases were dismissed by the Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati after being found to lack sufficient basis.

They added, “This latest stunt is nothing short of malicious harassment, designed to inflict severe reputation damage, emotional distress, and professional harm on our client. Mr. Lawyer will address the particularities of Ms. Marquez’s accusations against him before the Bureau of Immigration, the proper forum.”

Randy Lawyer is reportedly set to be summoned by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) following Marquez’s request to have his visa revoked and to seek his blacklisting from the Philippines.
