Broadcaster Ramon Tulfo, on Monday, December 8, addressed circulating reports suggesting that his brother, Senator Raffy Tulfo, was the politician allegedly offering a P250,000 indecent proposal to actress Chelsea Ylore.

In a social media post, Ramon Tulfo dismissed the rumors with humor, calling the reports “laughable” and insisting that his brother, known for his fear of his wife, Jocelyn, could not have engaged in such behavior.

“Hindi ako makapaniwala sa balita dahil takusa (takot sa asawa) ang kapatid ko kay Jocelyn,” he said.

He added that if the reports were true, the situation would be different if Raffy had been involved with another man, noting that such speculation would be far more concerning.

Ramon Tulfo also defended his brother’s reputation as generous and philanthropic. He cited Raffy Tulfo’s charitable efforts through his long-running program, Raffy Tulfo in Action, noting that he regularly gives hundreds of thousands of pesos out of his own pocket to those in need.

The Tulfo siblings’ combined Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) reportedly total around ₱1 billion, Ramon Tulfo added, contrasting their transparency with politicians who declare significantly less.

The controversy began after Chelsea Ylore, a Vivamax actress, claimed she received offers from a mayor and a senator in exchange for sexual favors.

Netizens speculated that the unnamed senator could be Raffy Tulfo, pointing to hints in her statements, including the politician’s initials.

Ylore later clarified that public guesses had identified the wrong person.

Ramon Tulfo concluded his post with a lighthearted remark, emphasizing that the speculation was baseless and reaffirming his brother’s integrity.
