Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy is set to file criminal complaints for libel and cyberlibel against Senator Risa Hontiveros and ML Party-list Rep. Leila de Lima and Akbayan Party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña on Thursday, September 10, according to his legal counsel.

In a media advisory issued by Atty. Ferdinand S. Topacio, Quiboloy’s legal team said the complaints would be filed at the Pasig Prosecutor’s Office at 11 a.m. through his lawyers.

The filing comes amid previous public exchanges involving Quiboloy and Hontiveros over the pastor’s legal troubles and extradition. In August, Quiboloy’s legal camp, through lawyer Israelito Torreon, rebuked Hontiveros over remarks concerning his possible extradition, emphasizing that “Pastor ACQ has not been convicted of human trafficking.”

The media advisory did not specify the statements or publications that Quiboloy alleges constitute libel and cyberlibel, nor did it indicate the damages being sought.

The complaints are expected to be filed at the Justice Hall Building within the Pasig City Hall Compound along Caruncho Avenue, Pasig City.

Quiboloy’s legal team has requested media coverage of the filing, which is scheduled for Thursday morning.
