The Quezon City Regional Trial Court (QC RTC) ordered the transfer of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and four other co-accused to the Quezon City Jail. They are facing charges of qualified human trafficking and child sexual abuse.
Following the order from QC RTC Branch 106 Presiding Judge Noel Parel, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and Crisente Canada are to be placed in detention at the Quezon City Jail.
The remaining three accused—Jackielyn Roy, Ingrid Canada, and Sylvia Cemañes—will also be detained at the Quezon City Jail in the female dormitory, situated within Camp Karingal.
The court order also specifies that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and the four other accused must appear for their arraignment on September 13 at 8:00 AM. The arraignment and pre-trial will be conducted via video conference.
Focus is now on whether the Philippine National Police (PNP) will promptly adhere to the court’s directive, given that the Pasig RTC has also released a separate warrant of arrest for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who is currently detained at the PNP Detention Facility in Camp Crame.
