The local government of Quezon City expressed strong support for the nationwide program “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Malacañang, highlighting the significant increase in funding for local government projects.
President Marcos announced the allocation of nearly ₱58 billion under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) for 2026, more than double the amount released in 2025. The fund aims to accelerate local programs, including the construction of critical infrastructure, enhancement of healthcare initiatives, disaster preparedness, and other community-focused projects.
The Quezon City government pledged that its share of the LGSF will be managed with transparency and efficiency. Officials emphasized that every centavo will be used to implement meaningful projects benefiting residents.
“We ensure that the allocated funds will directly strengthen programs that impact QCitizens,” the statement read.
City leaders reaffirmed their commitment to effective public service, promising that residents can expect continued, reliable, and accountable governance in all local projects.
This increase in national support reflects the administration’s intent to empower local governments and ensure that citizens nationwide can benefit from faster and more effective program implementation.
