The Quezon City government has strengthened its support for cyclists with the opening of a new end-of-trip (EoT) shower facility at City Hall.
Led by QC Mayor Joy Belmonte, the facility was inaugurated at the roof deck of the multi-level parking building and is equipped with showers and secure bike racks to provide convenience and safety for cyclists, particularly bike-to-work employees.
The project aims to encourage more residents to adopt cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation while promoting a healthier lifestyle. Officials said the initiative is part of the city’s broader push to become a bike-friendly and environmentally sustainable urban center.
Key city offices, including the Department of Public Order and Safety’s Green Transport Division, the City Engineer’s Office, led by Mark Dale Perral, and the General Services Department, collaborated in the development of the facility.
