

“Quezon,” the biopic retelling the Philippine Commonwealth President’s rise to power, is hitting the screens of the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF) this October.
The third and final installment of the “Bayaniverse” series, which delves into Manuel L. Quezon’s life, is among the Official Selection for the film fest’s 45th iteration, announced TBA Studios. It will be screening on October 26 and 28.
Jericho Rosales, who stars in the titular role, has proudly announced this milestone on his social media, thanking HIFF.

Quezon is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas on October 15.
Other local films in the HIFF roster are “Magellan” directed by Lav Diaz, “Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea” by Baby Ruth Villarama, and “Eraserheads: Combo on the run” by Maria Diane Ventura.
HIFF is an Academy Awards-qualifying film fest which aims to showcase the “vibrant and diverse cinematic voices” in the Asia-Pacific region.
