The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is currently identifying the suspect behind the Quezon City Hall bomb threat, according to a Friday report.

At present, the QCPD, in collaboration with the Philippine National Police – Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG), are gathering evidence that may point to the perpetrator’s identity, reported RH 23 Edwin Duque.

“Tinitiyak namin na mananagot sa batas ang mga nasa likod nito. Hindi hahayaan ng Quezon City Government ang paghahasik ng pananakot sa ating lungsod,” the city government said in a statement.

The QC government received an anonymous bomb threat through its official Facebook page yesterday, September 17.

According to PBGen. Christopher Olazo, given the gravity of the threat, the local government unit (LGU) immediately informed the QCPD and the QC Safety and Security Cluster upon learning of the threat.

As part of their security protocol, authorities immediately conducted sweeping, paneling, and inspection in the city hall and all its buildings, the QC government said in a statement.

They found no suspicious activity or objects.

The city government reminded its constituents not to make light of or intimidate individuals with bomb threats.
