The 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference opens on January 31 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre, debuting a restructured format for its 10 participating teams.
Under the updated rules, a team that wins all its matches in the single round-robin eliminations will automatically secure a spot in the semifinals.
If no team sweeps the eliminations, the top four squads advance to the Qualifying Round knockouts, while the losing team will enter the Play-In Stepladder, offering the ranked fifth to tenth another shot at staying in the tournament.
All rankings will follow the FIVB Classification System, factoring in match wins, set ratio, and points ratio. The semifinals will also use a round-robin format to determine the two finalists, who will then compete in a best-of-three championship series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The conference opens with a doubleheader: Galeries Tower Highrisers vs. Cignal Super Spikers at 4 p.m., followed by Akari Chargers vs. Choco Mucho Flying Titans at 6:30 p.m.
Matches continue on February 3 and February 5, highlighted by the return of the 10-time champions Creamline Cool Smashers taking on PLDT High Speed Hitters.
The 2025 PVL offseason saw significant team shifts, with player transfers, coaching adjustments, and new signings reshaping the league.
Defending champion Petro Gazz Angels took a temporary leave, while Chery Tiggo Crossovers ceased operations, leaving a leaner 10-team field. These changes signal both transition and excitement, setting the stage for a competitive and unpredictable All-Filipino Conference.
