Several names appearing on acknowledgment receipts linked to alleged confidential fund recipients of the Office of the Vice President had no records of birth, marriage or death in the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) database, a PSA official testified Monday.
During the 22nd day of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial, PSA Assistant National Statistician Marizza Grande said she reverified several names after finding them unusual during the agency’s examination of a list of alleged recipients.
Among the names she checked were Beverly Claire Pampano, Matthew Keso, Arthur Baon, Ralph Josh Bacon, Charles Sampaloc Jr., Timon Pusa and Xiaomi Ocho.
Grande said the PSA verification showed that these names had no corresponding records of birth, marriage or death in the agency’s database, which she describes as ‘unusual’.
“Based doon sa verifications namin sa 677 na listahan ng DepEd list payees, out of the 677, nakita namin na 398 dito walang record ng kapanganakan, walang record ng kasal or kamatayan,” Grande said.
