The House prosecution panel strongly objected to the allegation by defense counsel Atty. Justin Gular that they were engaging in alleged "mind conditioning" regarding the release of document summaries from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

These documents include records of companies where Vice President Sara Duterte was listed as an incorporator from 2022 to 2025, during her tenure as Vice President.

“Wala pong manipulation doon, wala pong mga sinasabing attempt para playing mind game condition ang isip ng ating mga taong bayan,” House Prosecution Spokesperson Zia Alonto Adiong said.

On the 27th day of the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte, the defense, through Gular, contended that such summaries are inaccurate and misleading because they present broad corporate financial data—such as authorized capital stock, subscribed amounts, and paid-up capital, which pertain to the corporations as a whole—rather than the Vice President’s specific shareholdings.

Gular further argued that the summarized documents could mislead the public in the absence of proper distinctions.

“With the summaries, because no distinction is being made, the public could clearly be misled into believing or interpreting that the figures appearing in these summaries belong to the Vice President, when we certainly understand that they do not.”

However, Spokesperson Adiong asserted during a press conference that Metro City Chow Foods Corporation—one of the companies linked to Duterte—was the very entity that submitted the documents which the defense allegedly attempted to block the prosecution from presenting.

“Galing po talaga yun sa SEC, ganun po yung kanilang pag-prepare, report nila.”
