The Police Regional Office CALABARZON has deployed a total of 14,025 personnel in preparation for the 2026 Oplan Summer Vacation (SUMVAC) season to ensure safe and orderly public activities across the region.

Acting Regional Director Police Brigadier General Hansel M. Marantan confirmed that the deployment includes 8,453 PNP personnel; 1,306 augmentation forces from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and partner agencies; along with 4,266 force multipliers from advocacy groups and trained volunteers.

The move supports the directive of PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. to ensure the safety of key national events and holidays, including the Lenten Season, Philippine Veterans’ Week, Araw ng Kagitingan, Labor Day, National Flag Day, Flores de Mayo, and local fiestas.

PRO CALABARZON identified 1,023 critical areas for intensified security, including 216 places of worship, 261 major thoroughfares, 87 transportation terminals, 200 commercial establishments, and 227 tourist sites. Personnel will focus on crowd management, traffic control, and crime prevention to protect both residents and visitors.

PBGen Marantan emphasized that all units are on full alert starting March 27, highlighting proactive policing, risk assessment, and collaboration with communities as key strategies for a safe and peaceful SUMVAC 2026.
