The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) has served an order revoking the firearm licenses of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa on Wednesday, May 27, authorities said.
In a statement, PRO 11 said the Regional Civil Security Unit 11 (RCSU 11), in coordination with the Davao City Police Office, implemented the service of the Order of Revocation covering dela Rosa’s License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and Firearms Registrations (FR).
The order was received by RCSU 11 via electronic mail on May 26, prompting immediate coordination among police units to ensure proper procedures and security measures during its implementation, according to the report.
Police Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Z. Rosete, PRO 11 regional director, said personnel conducted operational briefings and coordinated with local police, including the Maa Police Station, to ensure the orderly service of the revocation order.
The document was served to Atty. Vicente Adrian Pajaro, the legal representative of dela Rosa, who acknowledged receipt and said he would discuss the matter with his client and coordinate further with authorities.
Rosete said the operation was carried out in accordance with the law and established protocols.
“The implementation and service of the Order of Revocation were conducted in accordance with the rule of law, established procedures, and with the highest degree of professionalism,” Rosete said.
“The Philippine National Police remains committed to the fair, impartial, and lawful execution of its mandates while ensuring respect for due process and the rights of all parties concerned.”
He added that the action aligns with the Philippine National Police’s operational priorities, including enhanced management of police operations.
