Prices of flowers and candles have started to climb as vendors outside Pasig Cemetery prepare for the influx of visitors ahead of Undas 2025.
In a report by RH 52 Edniel Parrosa in Dos Por Dos, several vendors said that prices are expected to spike, and possibly double, on November 1 and 2, which fall on the weekend.
According to the sellers, the surge in demand and the impact of recent calamities affecting flower supplies from Baguio and other import sources have contributed to the price hikes.
Current prices of common flower varieties include:
-
Orchids: from ₱500, now ₱850
-
Sunflowers: from ₱30, now ₱50
-
Daisies: from ₱200, now ₱380
The cheapest option available is a small white flower pot priced at ₱100.
Vendors expect prices to rise further as Undas approaches, with more families expected to visit cemeteries over the long weekend.
