Music may do more than set the mood — it could also help save a life.
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has released a “CPR Playlist” featuring popular songs with beats that match the recommended rhythm for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The organization said effective CPR requires 100 to 120 chest compressions per minute, a pace that matches the tempo of many familiar songs.
