President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s governance is unaffected by Vice President Sara Duterte’s early bid for presidency in the far-off 2028 elections, said the Palace on Thursday.

According to Palace Press Officer Claire Castro, there is no reason for any delay in the President’s work following Duterte’s declaration. She said that if he were to mull over everything she said, the government would completely cease to take action, reported RH 14 Leth Narciso.

President Marcos remains committed to strengthening the country’s economy, improving Filipino lives, and resolving problems such as flooding, Castro emphasized.

Castro added that the President isn’t intimidated by politicking.

On Wednesday, Vice President Sara Duterte announced that she will be running in the 2028 presidential elections.
