The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has administered first aid to almost 100 individuals at the Manila North Cemetery, following an influx of visitors on All Saints’ Day.
As of 12:00 noon, around 500,000 have flocked to the cemetery to visit their deceased loved ones, reported RH 9 Tina Nolasco.
To ensure visitors’ safety and swift response to emergencies, the PRC set up a medical station within the cemetery premises, run by 70 of its personnel and volunteers.
Many of the individuals who received treatment are senior citizens, according to additional details in the report.
