A special Prayer Power Mass was held at the EDSA Shrine on February 22, 2026, as part of the preparations for the 40th anniversary of the People Power Revolution.

The mass was led by Cardinal Pablo Virgilio David, drawing hundreds of devotees and civic leaders who came together to honor the peaceful uprising that restored democracy in the Philippines.

Among the attendees were Senator Bam Aquino, Akbayan Representatives Chel Diokno and Percival Cendaña, as well as celebrities Iza Calzado and Edu Manzano, highlighting the event’s blend of faith, civic engagement, and public recognition of the historic movement.

Organizers emphasized prayers for peace, unity, and national progress, urging citizens to reflect on the values of freedom and solidarity that defined the 1986 revolution. The gathering also served as a prelude to larger anniversary events, including commemorative ceremonies and the upcoming Trillion Peso March in Metro Manila.

Authorities maintained a visible presence to ensure order, crowd management, and public safety as part of preparations for the series of events marking the landmark anniversary.
