Marikina 1st District Representative Marcy Teodoro has denied allegations of harassment and misconduct filed against him by two policewomen, branding the complaints as “malicious, baseless, and politically motivated.”

In a statement released to the media, Teodoro stressed that the accusations were fabricated with the intent to damage his reputation.

“Ang kanilang mga alegasyon ay walang sapat na basehan at gawa-gawa lamang na ang intensyon ay sirain ang aking reputasyon. Mukhang politically motivated attack laban sa akin. May mga trumatrabahong pwersa,” he said

“Mukhang orchestrated ang paglabas ng balita, at ang lumabas na kwento ay hindi kapanipaniwala,” he added

The lawmaker also lamented what he called a series of attacks against him “sobra na at sunod-sunod ang mga atake sa akin, nakakaawa na ko.”

He also cited DOJ Circular No. 20 (2023), which outlines that complaints must first undergo case build-up and legal evaluation to determine sufficiency of evidence before a preliminary investigation is conducted.

“Malinaw sa nakasaad na DOJ Circular, na dapat may legal evaluation at pagsusuri ng ebidensya bago magsagawa ng preliminary investigation, kaya maituturing ito na isang alegasyon pa lamang,” the congressman added in his statement.

Teodoro appealed for an impartial and transparent investigation, saying due process is essential in clearing his name.
