A vehicle was destroyed after an accident on the National Highway in Barangay Patag, Paranas, Samar, according to a report by Jayne Bantayan.

Fortunately, the driver survived who was identified as a police officer assigned to the 801st Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 8 in Arteche, Eastern Samar.

According to PNP Paranas, the officer was reportedly on his way back to his headquarters when he collided with a property used as a local water source.

The police added that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol, but may have dozed off.

The officer is set to undergo a CT scan after sustaining a head injury.
