The Philippine National Police (PNP) has placed police units under full alert nationwide amid a rally by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) on Tuesday, June 30, PNP Spokesperson PCol. Allen Rae Co said.

According to the PNP, all Police Regional Offices and National Support Units (NSUs) were placed under full alert status effective 8:00 a.m. on June 30, 2026.

“All units and personnel are advised to maintain full readiness to perform,” the PNP added.

“The chief PNP orders all our police nationwide to be on full alert status. This is to prevent any untoward incident in all our areas within the country,” Co said in a press briefing at Camp Crame.
The PNP appealed to the organizers of the rally at EDSA, which caused heavy traffic this Tuesday, June 30.
"Humihingi na rin po kami ng pakiusap sa atin pong mga gumagawa ng kilos-protesta na sana huwag na po nating idamay sa abala at aberya ang mga hindi kasali," Co said.
As of 9:00 a.m., the PNP said 5,936 police officers and allied security personnel have been deployed to key areas in connection with the rally, including the People Power Monument, EDSA Shrine, the Senate of the Philippines, Mendiola, Ayala Bridge, the U.S. Embassy, Liwasang Bonifacio, and other identified locations.

The PNP said Civil Disturbance Management contingents, including the Reactionary Standby Support Forces (RSSF) and Quick Reaction Forces, remain on standby to respond immediately if needed.
