

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested a most wanted individual from Laguna in a manhunt operation conducted in Camarines Sur, authorities said.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Rody,” was apprehended at around 10:15 a.m. on April 15, 2026 in Barangay Cabusao through a joint operation led by the Cabusao Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Calamba City Police Station.
According to police, the suspect is facing multiple charges, including qualified statutory rape, rape by sexual assault, and three counts of acts of lasciviousness. He was arrested without resistance, and no untoward incident was reported during the operation.
The arrested individual was brought to the Cabusao Municipal Police Station for documentation before being turned over to the appropriate court and detention facility.
PNP Chief Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the arrest is part of intensified intelligence-driven operations under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) program.
