

The Philippine National Police (PNP) successfully captured the Regional Level Rank No. 2 Most Wanted Person in Batangas, facing eight counts of rape, during a sustained warrant operation on February 16.
The 40-year-old male farmer, a native of San Narciso, Quezon, and resident of Sitio Paang Salwal, Barangay Lucsuhin, Calatagan, was arrested around 4:00 PM by joint police elements from the Lucena Component City Police Station, Calatagan Municipal Police Station, and Regional Intelligence Unit Quezon.
The arrest was executed under valid Warrants of Arrest issued by the Family Court, 4th Judicial Region, Lucena City, docketed as Criminal Case Nos. 2026-272 to 2026-279. All charges carry no bail. The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under Republic Acts 7438 and 9745 before being processed at the Lucena Component City Police Station for proper documentation and legal proceedings.
PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. reaffirmed the PNP’s commitment to arresting individuals accused of serious crimes.
“Serious offenses demand decisive police action, and we will continue to pursue offenders wherever they may be,” he said, emphasizing that evasion of justice would not be tolerated.
This operation forms part of the PNP Focused Agenda, aimed at ensuring a more responsive and accountable police service. It underscores the importance of intelligence-driven warrant operations and systematic tracking of high-ranking fugitives to protect communities and uphold the rule of law under the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
