The Philippine National Police (PNP) has opened hotlines to receive information that could help facilitate the immediate arrest of Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Allen Rae Co said the hotlines would be managed by a task force formed to apprehend Dela Rosa. Newly established tracker teams are also operational to locate and pursue the senator, according to a report by RH Edniel Parrosa.
The PNP warned that prank callers could face criminal charges if their actions obstruct law enforcement operations.
Earlier, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the PNP announced a P50-million bounty for information leading to Dela Rosa’s arrest.
The move comes as the senator is wanted under an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) over alleged crimes against humanity linked to the previous administration’s war on drugs.
The PNP has given Dela Rosa until Friday, October 30, to surrender to authorities.
