Camp Crame marked a milestone on January 29, 2026, as the Philippine National Police (PNP) celebrated its first-ever National Police Day, unifying its Foundation Day and Police Service Anniversary under the theme “Serbisyong Nararamdaman, Kapulisang Maaasahan.”

The historic event was led by PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. and was attended by Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto, representing President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Interior and Local Government Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla, NAPOLCOM Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer Atty. Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan, House Speaker Representative Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III and other government officials and sectoral partners.

In his address, PGEN Nartatez highlighted the PNP Focused Agenda, which serves as the organization’s roadmap for reforms aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, integrity, accountability, and personnel welfare. He said the agenda continues to guide efforts to enhance police responsiveness and deepen community trust.

The celebration also honored outstanding police personnel, units, and partner stakeholders, underscoring the PNP’s commitment to excellence and inter-agency cooperation. Executive Secretary Recto conveyed President Marcos’ message, stressing the importance of public trust, swift service, and ensuring a safe environment for all Filipinos.

The program concluded with an audiovisual presentation showcasing the PNP’s modernization initiatives and reform journey, reaffirming its mission of a “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas” anchored on fast, honest, and people-centered service.
