The Philippine National Police (PNP) is considering administering a drug test to the suspect in the Antipolo massacre, where seven bakery workers were killed.

Rizal Provincial Police Director PCol. Felipe Maraggun told DZRH that they plan to request assistance from the PNP Forensics Group to evaluate the mental state of the suspect, who has confessed to the said crime.

In a previous interview, the suspect claimed that he was not under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol when he committed the killings.

The crime occurred between 11 p.m. and shortly past midnight yesterday, but it was only discovered around 6 a.m. when “tanod” (village watchmen) arrived at the scene.

Police are not convinced that alias “Bogart” acted alone, especially since there were seven victims — including two 17-year-olds who were reportedly strong and physically capable due to their work at the bakery.

However, in CCTV footage obtained by DZRH News, the victims were seen buying alcohol a few hours before they went to sleep and were later stabbed by the suspect.

“Bogart” defended his actions by saying he had to act first against the seven individuals — among them the business partner he shared with his wife — as they were supposedly planning to kill him and take over the bakery.
