The Philippine National Police (PNP) has denied circulating claims that it issued a “shoot-to-kill” order against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa amid the ongoing manhunt for the lawmaker.
In the report of RH Edniel Parrosa, PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Allen Rae Co clarified that no such directive has been issued in connection with the arrest warrant against dela Rosa sought by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“Again, uulitin ko po, baka maputol yung quote, wala pong inilalabas na shoot-to-kill order,” Co said.
The PNP also urged the public to rely only on verified and official sources for accurate information regarding the ongoing manhunt.
Meanwhile, Cagayan de Oro 1st District Representative Lordan Suan earlier denied issuing or threatening to release a resolution supposedly bearing his name that was linked to the alleged order.
