The dynamic SiPons duo of Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons thrilled fans with a hard-fought victory over Thi My Nga Dinh and Hong Hanh Mai, surviving a rollercoaster three-setter, 21-18, 15-21, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Team 2’s Dij Rodriguez and Sunny Villapando battled through another nail-biter, downing Ngoc Lan Chau and Le Thi Tuong Vy Nguyen in three sets, 22-20, 19-21, 15-10.

With both teams remaining unbeaten through four preliminary games, the Philippines now sets its sights on the gold medal match.

A final preliminary showdown against host Thailand is scheduled for Wednesday, setting the stage for a potential championship duel on December 19 against the formidable Thai side, who have yet to drop a set in the tournament.
