Miss Philippines Myrna Esguerra finished as Fourth Runner-Up at the Miss International 2025 pageant during the coronation night held in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday, November 27.
Colombia bet Catalina Duque Abréu was crowned Miss International 2025, and Zimbabwe representative Yollanda Chimbarami placed First Runner-Up. Bolivia’s Paola Guzmán and Melliza Xaviera Putri Yulian of Indonesia were hailed Second and Third Runners-Up, respectively.
During the Q&A portion of the finals round, Esguerra was asked how she would describe her Miss International story to friends and family. She responded that she found sisterhood and was taught the value of selflessness and meaningful connection.
“I will tell to my mama that I just gained 79 more siblings among my 16 siblings back home. Miss International taught me to be selfless and it taught me the value of having friends from around the world. And I am so grateful for this opportunity because I learned to help everyone in here, everyone who needs my help. And above all, it made me a better person, a human that cares, because I was able to create my project. And with that, it is my tribute to all the people who helped me,” she said.
Esguerra’s project, “Dream Readers,” aims to give children quality education. It has been recognized as a strong advocacy initiative for the 63rd edition of the pageant.
